Dudley 2 Kington Town 4
KINGTON Town maintained their bid to take the West Midlands League Premier Division title with a convincing victory over Dudley Town.
The Herefordshire club are lying in third place, 15 points behind leaders Malvern Town but they have six games in hand.
Kington got off to a bright start and soon took the lead. Danny Hill latched on to a right-wing cross, rounded the keeper and slotted the ball into the empty net
In the 15th minute, the visitors were two up. Carl Morgan did the spade work, providing a good delivery to Lee Ferneyhough who ended the move with an emphatic finish.
As half-time approached, the situation changed as Dudley took up the running. The highly experienced, former Aston Villa winger Mark Walters twice dropped well-placed corners into Kington's goalmouth and they were converted by Peter Wood and Damian Coll to make it 2-2 at half-time.
After the break, Kington were back in command. In the 55th minute Morgan was again the provider, crossing for Andy Clarke to restore their lead with a rare headed goal. Midway through the half Mark Davis sealed victory for the visitors by netting their fourth - his fifth goal in three games.
