WESTFIELDS have won the Moldwel Team of the Month award in the Midland Alliance after winning three and drawing the other two of their five matches in February.
The club receives an inscribed trophy while managers Sean Edwards and Darren Lynch pick up the traditional 'bottle of bubbly' as managers of the month.
Westfields are in their first season in the Midland Alliance and their five February matches, which included wins over Pelsall Villa, Alvechurch and Boldmere St Michael's, formed part of an eight-game unbeaten run.
"This award for the team and managers Sean Edwards and Darren Lynch is superb as we have really had a great month and been able to extend our run and move into the top half of the table," said chief executive Andy Morris. "The players have been first class while the two managers lead by example with 100% effort and total commitment.
"Also moving to our new ground at allpay.park has helped immensely and we now hope we can maintain the form through to the end of the season."
