Cradley Town Res 2 Leominster Town 1
LEOMINSTER Town played with plenty of pace, shape and concentration and were unlucky not to get some reward from this mid-week floodlit West Midlands League South fixture.
Leominster contributed as much as their opponents to a highly entertaining and skilful match. They shaded the first half and were full value for their 1-0 interval advantage. Dan Rocke played the ball in from the left for Dylan Barrington to step over, allowing Gareth Davies to power a 25-yard shot high into the top left-hand corner of the net.
The second half continued at a furious pace but gradually Cradley took control.
They equalised in the 60th minute when in a swift counter attack the ball was played through the middle for Joe Ghazanfar to score.
Cradley's winner came when Leominster failed to clear, allowing Tobias Salmon to net from close range.
Ben Price was unlucky not to level the score in the last quarter, but Cradley's defence, well-marshalled by skipper Dan Patrick gave little away.
