MENINGITIS TRUST - Once again the Terry family will be hosting a coffee morning, with bring and buy, at the home Ridgeway, Great Oak, Eardisley, in aid for the Meningitis Trust. Proceedings start at 10am.
SCHOOL - On Saturday, March 20, pupils from Eardisley C of E School will be taking part in the Music Challenge at Lady Hawkins's school. The friends of Eardisley School (FOES) are holding a bingo night at the school on Friday, March 19, at 6.30pm. The Easter coffee morning will be on Friday, April 2.
DRAMA FESTIVAL - Eardisley Little Theatre Group are performing their entry on this year's Drama Festival at the Courtyard Theatre on Wednesday, March 17. Patrons are asked to arrive early, as the Eardisley entry, Domby Don, will be the first of the evening's performances.
CHURCH - The Lent Course Sessions, which begin at 7.30pm, are continuing with the next meeting at Church House next Tuesday with Religious Labelling, which is led by Mark Raine. The next meeting, led by Mrs Carey Glyn-Jones and Dr Mohammed Rasheed, is also at Church House with multi-cultural Britain, a welcome, as the theme. On Monday, March 29, also at Church House, the theme is animal experimentation, pragmatic use of a necessary resource, or exploitation? led by Dr Kit Byett. As Easter approaches, church warden Mrs Evelyn Hatcher would appreciate orders for lilies which will be used, as usual, in decorating St Mary Magdalene Church. The lilies cost £1.50 each. Donations towards the cost of decorating for Easter would be greatly appreciated, call 01544 327333. Services at the Eardisley Methodist Church in March will be conducted by Mr T South, March 14; Mr W L Beers, March 21; Holy Communion/Mothering Sunday; Mr G Carter, March 28.
PARISH COUNCIL - The next meeting of the Group Parish Council will be next Monday in the Reading Room.
