LOCAL performing arts group Magna is set to bowl you over with its forthcoming comedy, Outside Edge.
Written by Richard Harris, the piece brings to life a perfectly rolled cricket pitch against a summer's afternoon - the cry of 'owzat!, the sound of leather on willow, and in the background the sound of some amateur dramatics between the players' girlfriends.
The captain's wife serves up one of her famous teas, just as everything goes pear shaped...
The play was first staged in the 70s, and went on to become a successful television series. Catch it at The Courtyard from April 5-7 (pay what you can night, Monday).
To book call the box office on 01432 359252.
