CARLY O'Brien, of River Island, Hereford, was the supported learner winner in the Learning and Skills Council Herefordshire and Worcestershire awards.
And her mentors, Hereford-based Howarth Hancorn Ltd, completed the double by taking the provider progression award during an evening of celebration at Malvern Theatres.
Howarth Hancorn devoted extra time and care to help Carly overcome an initial lack of confidence and she has been recently awarded a regional customer service award.
Managing director Jane Howes and her team at Howarth Hancorn were awarded high grades following an ALI inspection in November last year.
Since August alone their learners have achieved 39 NVQs and 26 frameworks, both well ahead of targets set.
In addition, Howarth Hancorn's modern apprenticeship success rates are amongst the highest in Herefordshire and Worcestershire and rank highly in the country. Judges felt that exemplary effort had been shown.
Advantage Business Supplies, of Whitestone, collected the vocational training award with the support of Howarth Hancorn.
