LEADING cancer fighting medical charity the Cobalt Unit Appeal Fund is making a plea to supporters in Herefordshire past and present to join them to celebrate its 40th birthday.
The celebration, on Friday, March 19, at Christ Church, Malvern Road, Cheltenham, from 7.30pm, will include a concert by the Stuart Singers.
The appeal's co-ordinator, Jeanne Ramsbottom, says they have tried to contact as many people in Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and border areas, as possible.
"So far 400 people have said they will be there," she said.
"We have written, phoned and invited as many people as possible, but we are concerned that some people who supported us in the early days may have moved or changed names.
"Anyone who wants to join us is more than welcome and apart from a retiring collection for Christ Church, this celebration evening is completely free".
To obtain free tickets contact Mrs Ramsbottom on 01242 535 900 during office hours.
