AN extended 30mph-speed limit on the A44 Barons Cross Road, Leominster, should be enforced by next month, Herefordshire Council has heard.
Councillor Mike Wilson, cabinet member for highways and transportation, said signs showing the extent of the limit south-westwards would be installed 'as soon as the contractor was able'.
Coun Wilson was replying to a question from John Thomas, councillor for Leominster South, who asked at last Friday's full council meeting why it had taken so long to implement a speed limit approved in March 2003.
Coun Wilson said the delay was due to the number of such requests and the time it took to process them.
