RECORD-equalling Hereford United return to action at Telford tonight (7.45) with acclaim still ringing in their ears following Friday's 9-0 massacre of Dagenham & Redbridge.
The Bulls' feat matched the all-time Conference record, set by Sutton United with their 1991 defeat of Gateshead, but it's back to the bread and butter of their promotion bid insists manager Graham Turner.
"It was a great win but it only gave us three points," he said.
"The result gave everyone a lift but everybody is back down to earth.
"What it did show was that if we play our best that we are a handful for anybody. We've had a quite a few games this season where we've scored five and we put seven past Forest Green Rovers so we know if we get it going we can be a danger."
Danny Williams, scorer of two of Hereford's goals, took a bad knock in the process of scoring his second and looks set to miss the New Bucks Head clash.
Simon Travis is also out, still recovering from a gashed ankle that required stitches.
Edgar Street old boys Matt Clarke and John Grant, who hit the target in Telford's 1-1 draw with Shrewsbury in the FA Trophy, will be out to make life difficult for their former club, but Turner is more concerned about the state of the pitch.
"We know they've got some good experienced players in their side but the pitch is going to be difficult because it resembles a beach from all the sand they put on it to try and get their FA Cup match played," he said.
Chester City's 2-1 victory at Woking keeps them eight points clear at the top but Turner is not giving up hope of hauling the Blues back in.
"We can't afford to give up on catching Chester and with 10 matches to go anything is possible," he said.
Meanwhile, Bucks Head manager Mick Jones admits the club's involvement in the FA Cup has side-tracked their promotion ambitions.
"The FA Cup run has done our play-off bid a lot of damage," he said.
"We're four or five games behind most of the clubs in the Conference and when you're constantly having games called off it's impossible to build up momentum."
FORMCAST: Hereford to triumph 2-0.
