FORMER modern apprentice Marlon Pritchard has made it through to the final in the current series of 'Robot Wars' with his robot 'X-Terminator'.
Marlon designed and built X-Terminator five years ago and has competed in Robot Wars since series three.
Now in series eight X-terminator has been successful in making it through to the final to be shown on Channel 5 on Sunday, March 7.
Marlon has been developing the robot over the years and hopes to continue developing X-terminator and competing in 'Robot Wars' for many years.
He has worked for Special metals Wiggin Limited since 1987 spending his fist year at Herefordshire Group Training Association (HGTA) and completing his apprenticeship in company in 1991. Now 33, he is a qualified instrumentation engineer.
Marlon commented: "X-terminator has been on show at the HGTA open evenings and it is great to see how the young people are attracted by it and I hope it gives young people the enthusiasm to consider engineering as a career."
