A day for pirates and princesses proved a big hit with youngsters at the Little Pickles Play Group in Newent on Tuesday morning.
The pre-school group returned after the half-term break and the climbing frame was turned into a pirate ship especially for the occasion.
A total of 15 children, aged three and four, took part in the fun session and had the chance to make their own pirate or princesses' hats, as well as colouring in special treasure maps.
Group spokesman Hazel Hill said: "It went very well. We were very busy."
