MAKING a difference was the theme of the fifth meeting of the Voluntary Sector Assembly (VSA) when it met to share news and views.
"The Assembly provides a unique opportunity for the voluntary sector to pull together and make a difference," said VSA coordinator Alison Straker.
"Last Thursday's meeting demonstrated to delegates that there are many ways of getting your voice across, as well as providing the opportunity to meet other people and learn about forthcoming events and funding opportunities."
At least 100 representatives from Herefordshire voluntary organisations attended the meeting at Aylestone School, where workshops included one exploring the VSA's relationship with the Herefordshire Partnership and another the aims and objectives of the VSA.
"Ideas pinned to the 'washing line' showed a lot of positive feeling, and a much better understanding of what VSA should be able to contribute to the future of Hereford," said Philip Dazely.
