Bromyard Town struggled in their West Midlands League Premier Division fixture against Smethwick and were outplayed for most of the match.

SMETHWICK SIKH TEMPLE 2, BROMYARD TOWN 0

With the wind at their backs in the first half Bromyard dominated territorially but failed to threaten the home goal.

In an effort to boost the team up, Bromyard introduced all their substitutes after the break but this had little effect.

Within five minutes of the restart, Smethwick took the lead when Wayne Lawley ran through unopposed to fire past a stranded Dean Smith.

The Bromyard goalkeeper saved his team from an even more embarrassing defeat with a string of fine saves as Smethwick pounded the visiting defence.

However he could do little to stop Smethwick adding a second goal when the Bromyard defence failed to clear a cross into the box, the ball falling kindly for Michael Lloyd to make sure of victory.
