CONCERNING comments about parking at the Hereford County Hospital, I would like to add something which I discovered recently of which, perhaps, not many of your readers will be aware.
I am a frequent 'customer' of the hospital and possess a disabled badge. On a recent visit to the hospital all disabled parking bays were occupied so I parked my car in a general parking bay.
To my amazement I was informed that, because all disabled bays were occupied, I would have to pay the fee of £1.50. In most other car parks where there are concessions for disabled people, and disabled bays are full, we are allowed to park in a general bay free of charge. So people with disabled badges who visit the hospital beware.
