YOU publish a very varied paper as well as a popular one.
Last week's contained Brides & Homes and it was well produced, colourful, and contained much useful information for those contemplating marriage. Many will be grateful.
Yet there is one small sentence that caused me concern. In the article 'Second time around' it states the idea of marriage for life is now long gone. That is not only untrue as many still cherish this, but it undermines the whole concept of marriage.
It is certainly no encouragement for those marrying for the first time who really desire it will last for a lifetime. If there is nothing to be aimed for, nothing will be achieved.
Do remember widows and widowers may be included in 'second time around' and many will have kept to their original marriage vows until death parted them.
