POLYTUNNELS are spreading across our countryside.
A large area of shinning plastic near Marden is clearly visible from Queenswood and Dinmore Hill, polluting the previously attractive vista towards Ledbury and the Wye Valley.
The view from Bodenham Lakes Road looking towards the Black Mountains has also been spoilt. Planning regulations need to be revised so there is some control on the spread of polytunnels.
This type of farming may be beneficial in moderation and on carefully selected sites, but covering the countryside in plastic will inevitably affect tourism.
