THREE new rugby teams - and another returning after 15 years - will be on show at Hereford Cathedral School's annual Marches Sevens this Sunday.
Twenty-four schools from all over the country will be taking part in the prestigious tournament, including trophy holders Millfield who have won it a record eight times.
The newcomers will be led by Wellington College, a top sevens school who have won the Rosslyn Park Festival three times in the last four years, finishing runners-up on the other occasion.
Coleg Sir Gor (Car-marthen College) - now the official rugby academy for Llanelli - were highly successful in Welsh national events last year, while the third school competing for the first time, Dean Close from Cheltenham, enjoy a long sevens tradition.
Clifton College are the school back after a long break and they are a renowned force in the Bristol area.
Hereford Cathedral have not reached the final in the 27-year history of their competition, but went close last year before a last-minute score by Glantaf gave the Welsh visitors a 19-14 semi-final win.
Two Cathedral players, James Fletcher and Ed Godsall, remain from that side and will be hoping to go one better this time.
The Marches Sevens, which always provides an entertaining day of highly-competitive running rugby, will be staged at the Wyeside playing fields on three pitches throughout the day from 10.40am to the final scheduled for 5.30pm.
