Quarry Nomads 0 Ross Town 3
ROSS continued their good form in the Cherry Red Records Hellenic League Division 1 West to secure a fine win in a game featuring plenty of open, direct football.
The visitors took the lead in the 17th minute when David Skipp raced into the penalty area where he was upended by the goalkeeper, who had to leave the field with an injury sustained in the incident.
Jamie Warwick stepped up to beat the stand-in keeper from the spot.
Ross continued to create plenty of chances with Skipp and Kevin McDonnell a constant threat to the Quarry defence. McDonnell headed against the bar early in the second period but Ross were rewarded on the hour when Andrew Green finished off a fine move.
Substitute Paul Burnham then evaded two tackles before crossing to Warwick who lobbed the ball over the goalkeeper and into the net.
