Hereford United 4 Nuneaton Borough 0
HEREFORD cemented their position as the leading scorers in the Midland Floodlit Youth League Premier Division with their four-goal haul taking their tally for the season to an impressive 37 in 16 games.
The young Bulls had the game against their bottom-of-the-table opponents wrapped up by the interval after storming into a three-goal lead.
Chris Mortlock opened the scoring after just 10 minutes when he headed in an Andrew Williams cross and Williams himself added the second shortly afterwards, breaking away to net with a left-foot shot.
Shortly before the break, a fine through ball from Anthony Robbins set up David Hart for the third and the result was put well beyond doubt 15 minutes into the second period when Williams pulled the ball back for Simon Gwilliam to net with a powerful shot.
Hereford eased up after this, but with Mark Smith outstanding in defence, Nuneaton never looked like reducing arrears.
