Parish Council - Six councillors, the clerk, nine members of the public, WPC Fiona Faringdon and community safety officer Caroline Fitzgerald attended the January meeting of Clehonger Parish Council. A letter had been received asking for funding for Dore Valley Community Scheme, it was agreed to donate £150 for this worthwhile service. A presentation was made by three youngsters regarding the setting up of Clehonger Youth Club. Councillor Williams advised them on setting up the club and said that the parish council would be prepared to give support. A member of the public requested a bus shelter in Croft Road. The clerk reported that this request was already on Herefordshire Council's list but that she would write and ask when it was likely to be installed. Paul Haley, from the LEA, outlined a new scheme called Extended Schools Money which encourages the school to engage with the community; for example, holding adults learning groups and after school clubs at the school. The next meeting of the parish council will be held on Thursday, March 11, at 7.30pm at a venue to be announced.
