THE Hereford and Mid Wales branch of the Alpine Garden Society held its annual meeting which was followed by two fascinating talks by members - one on the orchids and other flowers of Crete and another on flowers of South Africa. The next meeting is today (Thursday) and the speaker is Peter Cunnington, an expert on Primulas. The group meets at Holmer Parish Centre, Holmer Road, just north of the roundabout with Roman Road. Visitors are welcome.
