BROMYARD U16s dominated the opening exchanges with some neat, high tempo passing movements.
BROMYARD TOWN U16s 0, LEDBURY SWIFTS U16s 2
But the best move of the half came when full back Sam Hodges carried the ball down the left wing before slipping a superb pass to Dan Hunter. With the goalkeeper closing in, Hunter's shot drifted just wide of the post.
Shortly afterwards Swifts won a free kick about 20 yards out. Tim Rutherford fooled everyone by sending in a low shot that eluded the unsighted goalkeeper and went in off the post.
Swifts had more possession at the start of the second half and Dan Herbert had a powerful shot from distance well saved.
Herbert provided a perfectly weighted pass for substitute Tom Watts to run onto and his shot was of equal quality as he doubled the Swifts' lead.
Tom Smith had to make an acrobatic save from a deflected free kick as he put on a solid display to keep his old team mates at bay. As time ran out Swifts looked the more likely to score, leaving the home team rooted to the bottom of the table.
