HEREFORD United are desperate to avoid another home slip-up as they bid to stay in the Nationwide Conference title race.
United have not produced their best form at Edgar Street in recent weeks, taking only four points from their last four home games including a surprise 2-1 setback against Burton two weeks ago.
Director of Football Graham Turner wants to put that statistic right as quickly as possible -- starting with tomorrow's visit of Woking.
He said: "We are finding it harder at home because teams are making it difficult for us to break them down by getting men behind the ball, but this is something we must learn to deal with between now and the end of the season.
"We've shown that we are capable of grinding results out but what we'd like now is to put on a really good performance in front of our own fans.
"We were desperately disappointed with the outcome of the game against Burton and know we need to make up for that.
"The addition of a couple of new players will hopefully give everyone a boost again and we need to perform at a high level between now and the end of the season if we are to achieve what we all want from this campaign.
"We have shown that we are capable of matching anyone in this league but we now need to go on another run that proves this on a regular basis.
"Chester are showing no signs of weakening but we need to keep the pressure on them by winning our own matches and this will also keep us ahead of the teams just behind us."
Central defender Tamika Mkandawire has rejoined the Bulls for another loan spell from West Bromwich Albion, having spent two months at Edgar Street earlier this season, while Turner also hopes to recruit another midfielder ahead of tomorrow's game.
He has lost on-loan defender Anwar Uddin and midfielder Chris Palmer who have returned to Bristol Rovers and Derby respectively, while midfielder Ben Smith is likely to miss the rest of the season after dislocating his shoulder in the 5-2 win at Gravesend last week.
But Jamie Pitman will return to the squad against his old club after discovering he does not need a hernia operation, although Ryan Green is doubtful even though he has returned to training following a hip injury.
United won 1-0 at fifth-placed Woking in October and Turner expects another tough contest.
He added: "We recorded a fine win down there earlier in the season and it will take a performance of a similar standard to pick up three points tomorrow."
FORMCAST: Back the Bulls to win 2-0.
