BROMYARD'S Hope Family Centre is to amend its planning application for a new building.
The playgroup, currently housed in temporary buildings next to the forecourt of Top Garage, was granted planning permission for a new £320,000 centre last year.
However, building was delayed because the planned access threw up health and safety issues.
As a result, negotiations between the centre and Top Garage to agree an amended application are underway. New access is hoped to be from Panniers Lane, behind the centre.
Hope Centre manager Sheenagh Davis is worried the delay could lose it £60,000 European funding, which has to have been spent before March. Another grant of £20,000 from the Market Towns initiative could also be in danger.
Mark Tansley, Herefordshire Council's northern divisional planning officer, said: "As far as we're concerned they've got planning permission and that is all they need to secure funding."
