A SCHEME for a new bungalow and detached garage in Ledbury will be decided by planners next week.
The planning application is for The Priory Gatehouse site, off the Worcester Road.
A decision on permission will be taken by at a meeting of Herefordshire Council's northern area planning sub-committee on Wednesday. Council officers are recommending approval.
The application is for a two-bedroomed detached bungalow with garage to be built immediately to the east of Ledbury Rectory, close to the existing Priory building.
A driveway would have to be created to serve the new property.
Ledbury Town Council has objected on the grounds that it is an overdevelopment of the site and inappropriate in a Conservation Area, close to historic St Michael and All Angels' Church.
Twelve letters of objection have also been received, including one from the Ledbury and District Society Trust.
