Ledbury Swifts Under-15 may not have a playing record to be envied but they are a role model to other more successful teams in the HGTA Herefordshire Junior League.

Every week they play with a full squad of players knowing that there is every chance of another defeat but with a determination to fulfil their fixture and play the game as it was intended.

Last weekend they travelled to Pegasus Juniors and slipped to another heavy defeat.

At the other end of the table Lads Club maintained their 100% record and Bartestree Colts kept in touch with a close win over Hay-on-Wye.

Bartestree appear to have put paid to the Belmont Celtic's Under-14 Division championship aspirations with a 2-0 home win to keep their own hopes alive.

Hereford Junior Dyna-mos maintained top position with a comfortable win at home to Longtown but their other main rivals, Wellington, recorded a close 2-1 victory over Ross United Services.

The Under-12 Division is coming to a conclusion with wins for Kington Town, Hinton, Orleton, Kington Town Colts, Fownhope, Credenhill, Weston and Ledbury Swifts.

Ledbury Swifts' 2-0 victory over Lads Club Colts was perhaps the most significant. The top four teams will qualify for the championship play-offs and, with Kington Town and Ledbury Swifts already assured of their places, Credenhill and Hinton are now the likely teams to qualify, with Lads club Colts relegated to fifth place.

The Under-13 Division top-of-the-table clash saw Lads Club Rovers forfeit their game advantage over nearest rivals FC Phoenix, going down by the only goal of the match. Phoenix top the table, three points ahead of Rovers, having played a game more.

The Under-16 Division is as open as ever and top team Leominster Minors dropped another valuable point at home to Presteigne.

Saturday's Under-11 Division fixtures will decide who joins Lads Club and Ledbury Swifts in the play-offs. Wins for both Hinton and FC Phoenix Milan would deprive Bromyard Town of a place.
