Ewyas Harold booked their place in the final of the HFA Charity bowl with a narrow, hard-earned 1-0 home victory over Hinton.
To compound the misery of the Broomy Hill side, it was their former player Peter Lamb who netted the single goal.
Ewyas Harold will have to wait to find out whom they will meet in the final as the other semi-final between Ledbury Town and Woofferton failed to take place.
Ledbury would not call off their scheduled West Midlands League fixture with Bromyard Town and their opponents insisted on an afternoon kick-off, resulting in the tie being called off. The matter will now be taken up be the HFA competitions committee.
Harold started strongly and Matt Ingram went close from a couple of early openings. Lamb struck the bar from outside the box before netting the vital goal midway through the half when he chipped the visiting keeper from 35 yards. Hinton's best chance saw Ashley Price just fail to turn in an Ian Morris cross.
Hinton piled on the pressure after the break but the Harold defence held firm.
Tommy Taylor and Jason Warren came off the bench to add some steel to the home team's midfield performance.
It was the city side who finished the stronger and they almost snatched an equaliser in the final minute. Morris saw his diving header deflected on to the woodwork and then Johnny Jenkins watched in disbelief as his shot from the rebound was turned away by Stuart Turpin.
