Ludlow Town Res 0 Hinton 5
LUKE Semple led the way with a hat-trick as Hinton maintained their recent return to form with an easy win over Ludlow in Division 1 South of the West Midlands League.
The win closed the gap on their fourth-placed opponents to seven points and they still have two games in hand.
Taking full advantage of the fine playing surface of Ludlow's new stadium, Hinton enjoyed domination throughout the game.
Ross Semple netted the first goal from an acute angle after pressurising the keeper near the by-line. Brother Luke soon made amends for an earlier miss to double the tally.
Phil Glover extended the lead midway through the second half with an excellent header. The rest of the game belonged to Luke Semple. First he drove home from distance, and then tapped in his third from a cross by brother, Ross.
