VIOLINIST So-Ock Kim, will perform at The Wyeside, Builth Wells, on February 29 as part of her UK tour.
Born in Seoul in 1982, So-Ock moved to London at the age of three. At the age of 15 she won the gold medal in the prestigious Shell/LSO competition, which led to a concerto with the London Symphony Orchestra.
Over the past year she has given critically acclaimed recitals at Wigmore Hall and the Purcell Room, as well as international venues including Sydney Opera House.
During her studies she has won many prizes and awards and is passionate about chamber music. Her passion was rewarded by the loan of a 1666 Antonius Stradivarius from an anonymous donor, on which she plays.
