I DRIVE articulated lorries and use the crossroad regularly.
I understand the difficulties of negotiating this junction in a car, in particular from the Leominster direction. If you consider the size and length of an HGV even if unladen, it is a difficult task with such poor visibility considering the speed of approaching traffic. This increases when you try to cross fully loaded. It is not possible to pull off quickly from a standstill with 44 tonne, and on an incline, even though very slight.
I am amazed there have not been more accidents here, especially involving large goods vehicles. I therefore fully support plans to install traffic lights at this accident black spot in the hope it will make it easier and safer to negotiate this junction.
