Ledbury entertained Hereford & Worcester on Sunday and played well with their forwards playing a major role in their two games on the day.

LEDBURY U11s v HEREFORD & WORCESTER U11s

Ledbury lost their first game to Hereford 7-12. Ledbury took the lead when new prop George Lockwood crashed over after good forward pressure by Bradley Smith and Ben Thompson set up a maul close to the Hereford line, the try was converted by William Horton. Hereford mounted many attacks and just before half time they scored a deserved converted try.

Ledbury's defence stood firm after half time with Alex Ross and George Lee making their tackles count, Hereford eventually scored five minute before the end. Ledbury mounted several attacks in the final minutes but Hereford held onto their lead winning this entertaining and hard fought game.

Ledbury's second game against Worcester saw several new faces in the Ledbury side but there was no change to the strong driving play by the Ledbury forwards which led to a well deserved victory 14-7.

Ledbury's first try by Freddie Lechmere came after good loose play by George Bennion and Matthew Kitching and was converted by William Horton. Ledbury started to move the ball and good passing almost gave Alex Ross a chance to score in the corner, Ledbury's second try came after good pressure by Bradley Smith and was converted by William Horton.

Ledbury's tackling was much improved with Chris West, Henry Cook and Simon Davies having good games in Ledbury's new back line.

Worcester came back strongly and scored a converted try five minutes before the end leaving Ledbury hanging on to their lead to record a well deserved win.
