ONCE again, it's Groundhog day. We have the yearly ritual of a few days paddling to go about our business.
True to the usual council bad timing and tactlessness, we are about to be hit with a suggested council tax rise of 10-11%. Can these councillors tell us where we are to get this extra money from? I suggest we get rid of some of the parasites running our affairs. We go like lambs to the slaughter, and pay up like good little citizens, until the day comes we have the bottle to stand up and be counted.
We can't go on paying these massive hikes and seeing little in return.
Most people in Hereford take home well below the average wage and are fortunate if they get pay rises of 3%.
What about pensioners? When will they have to start selling their possessions? Of course nobody gives a damn until it's on their own doorstep.
