Shrivenham 1
Ross Town 1
ROSS produced their best performance for some time to claim a useful Cherry Red Records Division 1 West point against third-placed Shrivenham.
Ross played against a strong wind in the first period but there were chances at both ends with the visitors' defence and goalkeeper Rich Newman rarely in trouble against a big Shrivenham side.
With half-time approaching and the game still goalless, Ross were made to pay when, with full-back Adam Williams recovering from a knock, they failed to fill the gap and Shrivenham broke from midfield to grab a goal they scarcely deserved.
But, with the conditions in their favour after the break, Ross hit back strongly and were soon level when they forced an own goal with just two minutes of the second period played.
