Presteigne 3 Berriew 2 (after extra time)
PRESTEIGNE needed a Neil Lewis goal five minutes from the end of extra time to help them progress to the quarter-finals of the Spar Mid Wales League Cup.
Berriew surprised the home side by taking an early lead but Presteigne hit back strongly to level when Lewis set up Chris Jones to fire home from 10 yards after 20 minutes.
Jones then put the home side in front when he volleyed home a corner from player-manager Robbie Gore but Berriew scored again to claw themselves back to level terms at the break.
After a goalless second period and with the final whistle approaching, Lewis fired in a shot which went through the goalkeeper's legs to give Presteigne a hard-earned win.
