PRESTEIGNE-based Labtech, which makes microwave printed circuit boards for the global telecommunications market, has secured the new Quality Management Standard ISO9001: 2000 from the British Standards Institution.
The new standard, which replaces the 1994 revision, is another feather in the cap for Labtech, which employs a workforce of 90 at its state-of-the-art headquarters in Presteigne.
John Priday, Labtech's Engineering and Quality Executive, said: "We are very pleased to receive this very latest standard, which has increased the role of elements such as customer focus, top management involvement, continuous improvement, resource management and process approach. The award is a reflection of considerable hard work by the quality team."
