THE Courtyard Youth Theatre presents Scenes from the 7.08 to London Paddington on Saturday.
Written and directed by youth theatre doyenne Caroline Peachey, and featuring a cast of forty 13-14 year-olds, it's a story that incorporates all the hustle and bustle of boarding a train at Hereford station and all the types of characters you meet on the way to the big city.
"They never actually make it to Paddington," Caroline said.
"The wrong sort of leaves on the line means the journey ends at Reading."
Buy your ticket and climb aboard for a show of heart-warming and thought provoking moments, glimpsed through the window of the train (probably not speeding...).
To book call 01432 359252.
SATURDAY sees the start of the week-long run of the much-anticipated Hereford Amateur Pantomime Society's Cinderella. The ideal treat for half term, and especially good for all those parents who just didn't get around to panto over the busy Christmas period, this has to be a half-term hit for any age group. Also at the Courtyard, bookings are being taken on 01432 359252.
HONEY Kalaria returns to Malvern Theatres following a sell-out workshop two years ago, with an explosive blend of energetic dance moves and charm.
Learn how to move Bollywood and Bhangra style, and see how costume, jewellery, facial expression and the body contribute to an amazingly beautiful dance form.
An energetic crash-course in the culture of the East is guaranteed to spice up half term.
Suitable for ages from 4 up, the workshops run from February 16-18. To book call 01684 892277.
ALSO appearing at Malvern will be one of the most popular children's characters of all time, Mr Benn. Even though only 13 episodes of Mr Benn were ever made, it did not take him long to become a cult figure.
This stage debut, The Extraordinary Adventures of Mr Benn, contains a delightful series of small teaching stories wrapped as sweets, all with a happy ending.
There are two shows on Sunday, at 11am and 2pm. To book call 01684 892277.
STAFF at Cheltenham's Everyman theatre may want to keep their winter woollies on for just a few weeks longer, as temperatures in the auditorium are set to drop.
The chill in the air will be worth it when the Russian Ice Stars bring their magical tale of Sleeping Beauty to life from February 17-28.
Performed to a recording of Tchaikovky's captivating score, the skaters (all of who are Russian former competitors at national, European, world and Olympic level) perform on a real ice rink, which takes 36 hours to lay.
Book to see this truly beautiful spectacular on 01242 572573.
TV legends Bill & Ben and Andy Pandy join forces in a new show at the Everyman from today (Thursday).
