AS Paul Keetch no doubt stood on the only main road bridge in Hereford and surveyed the relentless waters of the River Wye causing chaos again, an idea suddenly sprung to mind!
"Let's raise the matter in Parliament" he thought and he did!
The inevitable publicity would be good, and a chance to speak in the House, even better.
The many thousands of commuters snarled up on the gridlocked roads and the emergency services who faced delays in reaching victims of the floods and others, must surely think that, as Paul Keetch looked out over the flooded Hereford countryside, that he might think it a good idea if Hereford had a complete bypass and bridges either side of the city.
If this matter was raised in the Houses of Parliament more often then perhaps Hereford city might have some hope!
Perhaps it's time to start a new action party in Hereford and elect a new MP for action.
I would suggest we call it the Bypass Party and hope it can relieve Hereford of its road traffic chaos.
A bridge too far! No, carry on dreaming as you sit in the traffic jams.
