HEREFORD United aim to rub some sea salt into the wounds of Dover Athletic who sacked manager Neville Southall this week.
The Nationwide Conference basement dwellers called last orders on the former Everton legend just a week after he claimed the club was run like a pub team.
Southall won just two matches during 13 games in charge and has been replaced by Clive Walker but Phil Robinson's side also need some victories, starting at the Crabble tomorrow (3pm), to avoid being drawn into a relegation battle of their own.
The Bulls have lost their last three league encounters and their 4-2 midweek defeat at Farnborough leaves them 16th in the table, just six points above the drop zone.
"We need to start picking up points and the sooner the better," he said.
"On paper Dover should be one of our easier matches but everybody is scrapping for points and if they've just got rid of their manager it could be quite a tricky game for us."
Robinson is looking for his players to rediscover their defensive form which was the backbone of their eight-match unbeaten run at the turn of the year.
"We performed quite well at times against Farnborough, hit the woodwork twice and scored two goals which you think would be enough away from home," he said.
"But our defending was not quite up to scratch and it is something we have to get back to."
Torquay 'keeper Stuart Jones, who was drafted in on loan to replace the injured Matt Baker at Farnborough, is set to continue with Baker likely to be out for another couple of weeks with an ankle injury.
The experienced Ian Rodgerson is a doubt after having five stitches in a foot wound.
Formcast: Bulls to win 2-0.
