RELEGATION and promotion issues will be at stake in equal measure at Edgar Street tonight (7.45) when Hereford United play Dagenham & Redbirdge
The Bulls still need points to ensure their Nationwide Conference survival while The Daggers cannot afford to slip as their title showdown with Boston United goes down to the wire.
Hereford player/coach Phil Robinson expects to see plenty of attacking football in this rearranged fixure with both sides seeking to gain maximum points to help boost their respective causes at either end of the table.
"I think tonight's clash has all the ingredients to be an open and attacking game," he said.
"Dagenham have got to come and win because, bearing in mind the form Boston are in, they simply can't afford to drop any points while we still need a point to probably guarantee our survival."
The Bulls have already beaten Boston 4-3 in a thrilling live Sky game but Robinson cannot separate the two sides and believes the championship will go right down to the last game.
"There isn't much between them - both are physical, well-organised and hardworking teams each blessed with a couple of decent strikers," he said.
Hereford go into the match buoyed by a 1-0 win over Northwich at the weekend but though that eased their relegation fears Robinson is taking nothing for granted.
"It went well on Saturday but I would have been even happier if a few of the teams below us had lost," he said.
"It has gone a long way to seeing us safe but until we are mathematically safe no-one is going to be relaxing at all."
Paul Parry is suspended but Scott Goodwin returns from a two-match ban and Steve Piearce is back in the squad. Matt Clarke (hamstring) will have a late fitness test.
FORMCAST: Bulls to lose 1-0.
