LEROY May could be in line for a Hereford United striking return in tomorrow's Nationwide Conference game at Woking (3.00).
May, who rejoined the Bulls from Kidderminster in the summer, scored his first goals in the Macmillan Trophy victory over Sutton in midweek after coming on as substitute.
May's season has been disrupted by injuries, but Director of Football Graham Turner said: "He took his goals well and it will be significant for him to get off the mark. That will take a bit of the pressure off him.
"He is in contention but Rob Elmes and Paul Fewings have been doing very well together."
United's main injury doubts are their two full-backs, with Matt Clarke coming off against Sutton after feeling tightness in both hamstrings, while Paul Sturgess suffered a shin injury.
Both miss next Saturday's FA Cup clash with Burgess Hill through one-match suspensions, but Turner added: "Both have a good chance of being fit for the weekend."
Turner says his main priority is to tighten up at the back. Sixth-placed United are the top scorers in the Conference with 27, including eight in the last two games, but they have the second worst defensive record with 24 goals conceded.
"We have conceded too many goals this season. 27 goals is a very good return but too many are going in at the other end.
"We have had one or two problems with injuries but you have to defend as a team and we haven't always done that."
Woking are currently five places off the bottom but Turner expects a tough game. "They are always difficult at home, and some of their players are very experienced Conference players.
"It is a big game for us -- we are not too far off the top and there doesn't appear to be an outstanding side in this league. I haven't seen Kingstonian yet but otherwise I don't think there is anything to fear."
