PLANS to extend a house in Colwall have been given the go-ahead by Herefordshire Council, despite a number of objections.
Steve and Sarah Harford applied to build a new garage and bathroom at Fairfields, Old Church Road.
Ward councillors Roy Stockton and Rees Mills said they were concerned that the development would put the house out of alignment with neighbouring properties in the conservation area.
Colwall Parish Council objected on the grounds that it would affect the character of the area. Two letters of objection were also received from neighbours.
However, the plan was approved on the recommendation of planning officers.
