BROMYARD members of the HUG group, for users of mental health services in Herefordshire, will be part of a record-breaking attempt on Valentine's day.
The HUG group was planning to beat the Guinness Book of Records world record for the largest hug of 2,903 people in High Town, Hereford on Saturday (February 14).
However, a group of American scouts has now set a new record of 4,770 too many to accommodate in High Town.
The group is now aiming to set a British record and is encouraging people to take part.
People who wish to join in must give a minimum donation of £1 to the charity and can register for the event by calling 01432 270050.
