consent has been given for an alteration to plans for a development in Wellington Heath.
Patricia Kent was given outline planning permission in January last year for a bungalow on a site at Rose and Coombe cottages in Floyds Lane.
At a meeting of Hereford-shire Council's northern area planning committee last week, councillors decided to allow Mrs Kent to build a low two-storey development.
Four letters of objection were received from neighbours and ward councillor Roy Mills raised concerns that the roof of the building would be too high and might affect the privacy of those living nearby.
But Coun Barry Ashton said that the consent should be granted with the condition that the height of the building did not exceed the height of a two-storey building to the left of it.
"The building on the road is a bungalow and on the left, there is a two-storey building down the hill. We need to have a condition that says the height does not exceed that," he said.
