THE tragic loss of Jackie and Philip Perry's baby daughter has inspired their Herefordshire company to raise more than £5,500 for the Acorns Children's Hospice Appeal.
Mr Perry is the managing director of Central Roofing & Building Services Ltd, which has just presented its latest cheque - for £3,500 - to Acorns representative Fran Winterbourn.
The Kingstone-based company started fundraising for Acorns over a year ago following the loss of baby Octavia, and its efforts have helped to raise awareness of the hard work and dedication of the Acorns Children's Hospice staff.
The company's fund raising exploits have included raffles, colleagues running in the New York Marathon and Mr Perry's 40th birthday weekend last year.
