BORN African is a remarkable Zimbabwean tale of ordinary people in modern Africa.

It unravels the mysteries, tragedies and triumphs of what it means to be born African at a time when Zimbabweans are facing the truths and injustices of their history, and being forced to take sides.

The story follows three lives - Constance, a black female domestic worker, Matthew, a privileged white lawyer and Nigel, a young coloured man.

Moving between the present, the past and an uncertain future, the result is a thought-provoking and heartfelt piece of theatre that becomes more relevant by the day as Zimbabwe becomes increasingly marginalised within the Commonwealth for its election rigging and land appropriation policies.

Previous Over The Edge productions have received glowing reviews and played to packed auditoriums. This production was the winner of last year's The Stage award for Acting Excellence and was also nominated for the Amnesty International Freedom of Expression Award.

See it this Saturday at Hereford's Courtyard Theatre at 7.30pm. To book call 01432 359252.
