THERE was love on the dance floor at a Herefordshire bowling centre - to the tune of £500 for seriously ill children.
Heart shaped pavlovas, a cabaret and live music were the ingredients of a fundraising Valentine's ball at Wormelow's Indoor Bowling Centre in aid of Acorns Three Counties Appeal.
"The dance floor was filled with lively dancing couples until the early hours. We are very grateful to all those kind people who donated fresh farm produce and their time so generously and to all those who came and made it such a memorable and successful event," said Glenys Willis, who organised the event with friends Cathy Dobson and Danielle Marsh.
The ladies, who met through Much Birch doctors surgery, will continue their fundraising when they trek through China's Three Gorges.
