A WORLD tenor supremo has swelled Hereford Cathedral to the tune of well over £3,000.
Leominster's Ian Storey, who has sang in the world's most famous opera houses, staged a concert in his home county in aid of Acorns' Three Counties Appeal.
He was joined by Tarrington Brass, with ex Coldstream Guards musical director, Trevor Sharpe, and other acclaimed singers.
Ron Young, secretary of Hereford Wye Valley Rotary Club, which organised the event, described the line-up as 'top drawer'. "Around 450 to 500 people attended and it was an excellent evening. Proceeds are still being counted but will be in excess of £3,000," he said.
