A CHILDRENS charity is making lots of new friends in Hereford - and wants more to join them.
Acorns Children's Hospice is inviting them all to an informal meeting at the Model Railway, Broomy Hill, on Thursday, May 1, to find out more about raising money to build a new hospice for life-limited children.
"A good number of people in Hereford itself have expressed an interest in helping the Acorns Three Counties Appeal, so we are really excited about the idea of a new friends group for this area," said Acorns' community fundraising co-ordinator, Fran Winterbourn.
She added: "As our profile grows throughout the county, more and more people are wanting to fundraise for Acorns and get involved with the Three Counties Appeal.
"It's great to see this support going from strength to strength and we would be delighted to see new supporters."
The meeting will include a talk about Acorns and the planned hospice. The model railway is behind The Waterworks Museum, Broomy Hill.
