FORMER sporting greats were held to an exciting draw by the Hereford Cathedral School Headmaster's Xl in a charity cricket match at Wyeside, which raised £500 for the Acorns Hospice Appeal.
With former England batsmen Derek Randall leading the way, the celebrities posted a daunting target of 220 in their allotted 35 overs.
However, despite facing fast bowler Chris Old, an unbeaten 52 from Damian Cummings drew the headmaster's team level with a four from the final ball.
In the girl's cricket tournament, Cheltenham Girl's School narrowly beat Hereford Cathedral School in a tense final.
