A TOP class harness racing event is taking place to help raise funds for the Acorns Three Counties Appeal to build a new children's hospice.
Harness racers from across the country will be trotting out in support of the children's charity at the race, which will take place at Hanley Swan near Malvern on August 3.
The race is expected to attract over 100 entries, with top competitors from all over the UK pacing against horses and racers from the Three Counties.
This is the third time the Three Counties race has been held to raise funds for the Acorns appeal and organisers Dave and Kath Shellam from Callow End near Worcester are hoping more than 1,000 spectators will come along and support the charity event.
As well as the 10-12 qualifying races and the final, there will also be a children's race; along with food stalls, bookmakers, licensed bar and bouncy castle.
The first race will get underway at 1pm with the event finishing at around 7pm. Visitors are asked not to bring dogs because of safety reasons.
